چکیده

The interactivist approach to development generates a framework of types of constraints on what can be constructed. The four constraint types are based on: (1) what the constructed systems are about; (2) the representational relationship itself; (3) the nature of the systems being constructed; and (4) the process of construction itself. We give illustrations of each constraint type. Any developmental theory needs to acknowledge all four types of constraint; however, some current theories conflate different types of constraint, or rely on a single constraint type to explicate development. Such theories will be inherently unable to explain important aspects of development. TYPES OF CONSTRAINTS ON DEVELOPMENT: AN INTERACTIVIST APPROACH

A temporal-interactivist perspective on the dynamics of mental states

* URLs: http://www.cs.vu.nl/{~jonker,~treur} Email addresses: {jonker, treur}@cs.vu.nl Abstract This paper addresses the dynamics of mental states in relation to the dynamics of the interaction with the external world. It contributes a formalised temporal-interactivist approach to these dynamics based on temporal traces for semantics and on a temporal trace language to provide an expressive mea...

An iterative method for tri-level quadratic fractional programming problems using fuzzy goal programming approach

Tri-level optimization problems are optimization problems with three nested hierarchical structures, where in most cases conflicting objectives are set at each level of hierarchy. Such problems are common in management, engineering designs and in decision making situations in general, and are known to be strongly NP-hard. Existing solution methods lack universality in solving these types of pro...

Growth and Functional Development in 6 to 10 Years Old Soccer Players: Constraints and Possibilities

Sport and more specifically football is an important asset in youth lives. It is widely considered that biological maturity influences physical performance. Relationships between body size and performance are partly confounded by age. In fact, age is positively associated to strength and motor performance, even when height and weight are controlled. Studies on young footballer have been start...

Synchronisation in anticipative sensory-motor schemes

Assimilation schemes Assimilation schemes have been introduced by Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget, as dynamical structures assimilating the agent's environment (Piaget, 1952). In Piaget's theory, schemes are operating at all levels of an agent's life, from the biological levels where, for example, cells assimilate the nutrients around them in order to preserve their own structure, to the most ab...

Flexible job shop scheduling under availability constraints

In this paper, an exact geometric algorithm is presented for solving two-job sequencing and scheduling problems in flexible flow shop and job shop environments while the resources are (un)available in some time periods and processors (un)availability is the same in all work centers. This study seems utterly new and it is applicable to any performance measure based on the completion time. The in...
